Question: How is your life in Madrid?
I really like it, of course it’s quite different to Germany but the climate helps you out and lets you do more things outside during your free time.

Question: Do you think Mesut is in his best form since coming to the club?
I think Mesut is one of the best players in the world at the moment and his position is amongst the best. I can still improve in some areas, he knows this and I know this and say it sincerely as a friend. But I believe that with the quality he has, he’s amongst the best in the world.

Question: Are you looking to score your first Champions League goal of the season?
I’m always looking for that, but I don’t think that it’s so easy. Last year I was lucky enough to experience scoring a goal in the Champions League and naturally it felt fantastic to be able to score a goal that gave us the win. If it’s against Dortmund, in Germany then even better.

Question: Are Dortmund your toughest rivals for first place?
No, I don’t think so as I feel that Dortmund is a great team but so is Manchester City. They made things really difficult for us in the first game and we only won in the last minute. But if we win in Dortmund, of course we will have taken a big step in finishing first in the group.

Question: What will you feel walking out at the Westfalenstadion?
I know it from my time at Stuttgart, when we played there. It will be a special moment because the atmosphere is unique, perhaps unique in Germany. Playing at the Signal Iduna Park is always great because it has a special atmosphere - a Champions League atmosphere.

Question: What are Dortmund’s main strengths?
It’s a compact team, a block who plays with a lot of rhythm for 90 minutes and is very tactically disciplined. What’s more, despite being a team that doesn’t have a lot of experience in the Champions League, they have a lot of quality, especially up front. I think that Dortmund have a very good team.
